    Run-time error 48 on one workstation when running Reporter

    Problem Symptoms

    • Reporter gives run-time error 48: "Error in loading dll"
    • Other workstations do not give error

    Cause

    Necessary .dll may have been replaced or corrupted by another program on PC.

    Resolution

    Try repair on client
    1. Open VoyagerInstall.exe or VoyagerInstall.msi file
    2. Choose "Repair" option.
    If error is not resolved, uninstall and reinstall Voyager clients
    1. Open VoyagerInstall.exe or VoyagerInstall.msi file
    2. Choose "Remove" option.
    3. When complete, search the hard drive for voy*.dll:
      1. Click Start > Search > Files or Folders > All files or folders
      2. Type: voy*.dll
      3. Click on Search
    4. Select all files the search finds, and delete.
    5. Remove empty Voyager client folders and subfolders.
    6. Empty the Recycle Bin
    7. Download new VoyagerInstall.exe or VoyagerInstall.msi file and reinstall clients.

    Additional Information

    If a registry cleaner program is available on the workstation, running it after emptying Recycle Bin during uninstall/reinstall may help ensure all references to Voyager in the registry are also cleared after the clients are uninstalled.
