OPACJOB: Bib Usage Export log path cannot be changed

    • Article Type: General
    • Product: Voyager
    • Product Version: 7.2.4

Bug Report Form for Issue 16384-16625
    Module(s): WebVoyage
Server platform(s) affected: Tested on Solaris
    PC OS (if applicable): N/A
Browser & version (if applicable): N/A

    Release(s) replicated in: 8.1.0, 7.2.4, 7.0.1
Last version without bug (if applicable): N/A

Expected results: If you run OPAC Job 3 with the –o parameter, you should be allowed to place the log file anywhere you want.

Actual results: The –o parameter is ignored while using OPAC Job 3 (Bib Usage)

Workflow implications: Customers must move and/or rename this log manually

    Replication steps:
    1. Log onto the server and open /m1/voyager/xxxdb/ini/voyager.ini
    3. Open Cataloging, open any record and save it (no changes necessary), make note of the bibId
    4. Run Popacjob –j3 –o /export/home/voyager/test.txt –rtoday
    5. No log file will exist in the home directory, but if you check rpt/bibuselgexport.dat, you’ll see the bibId from step 3

Other information: According to the Tech manual (15-18) “Data extracted from the bib_use_log table is placed in the /rpt directory in the file bibuselgexport.dat or in the file specified after the -o parameter.”
