Is it a problem if Intended Location differs from Location in MFHD?

    • Article Type: General
    • Product: Voyager

    Description:
What happens when Intended Location different from MFHD location?

    Resolution:
There is no need to have the Intended Location and mfhd location match. The location set in the MFHD 852 subfield b will display in the OPAC, and any order information (such as In the Pre-Order Process status) will display based on the line item's copy status which is linked via the Copies/Funds and MFHD_MASTER.

    Example: Location called "In Process"
When creating line item, use "In Process" location as Intended Location.
When item is received and processed, cataloger assigns the correct shelving location in the MFHD.
