    Analyzer Outgoing Emails Fail After Upgrade

    Problem Symptoms:
    Outgoing emails from Analyzer fail after upgrade

    Cause:
    Incorrect settings in cogstartup.xml

    Resolution:
    1. Set these two parameters in /m1/shared/cognos/<version number>/configuration/cogstartup.xml

    <crn:parameter name="smtpMailServer" disabled="true">
    <crn:value xsi:type="cfg:hostPort">localhost:25</crn:value>

    <crn:parameter name="smtpMailServer">
    <crn:value xsi:type="cfg:hostPort">localhost:25</crn:value>

    2. Verify the defaultSender email address in /m1/shared/cognos/<version number>/configuration/cogstartup.xml

    <crn:parameter name="defaultSender">
    <crn:value xsi:type="xsd:string">user@mail</crn:value>
    </crn:parameter>

    3. Restart Cognos
