- Article Type: General
- Product: Voyager
- Product Version: 7.1.0
Description:
Bug Report Form for Issue 16384-7873
Module: Acquisitions
Release(s) replicated in: 7.1.0
Server Platform(s) affected: Solaris/all
PC O/S (if this is PC specific): n/a
Browser type & version (if WebVoyage): n/a
Expected Results: There shouldn’t be a long delay when selecting the Transfer radio button when making a fund transaction.
Actual Results: If a site has a substantive number of funds in their database, there can be a long delay when selecting the Transfer radio button when making a fund transaction.
Workflow Implications: For larger sites, the wait time can be as great as 90 seconds or longer; if the timeout value in the voyager.ini on the PC is set too low, the operator will get kicked out of the client before completing the operation.
Replication steps:
In a database with a large number of funds (15,000+ should do the trick), go to Acquisitions
Go to Ledgers>Search Ledgers
Search for a currently active ledger (shouldn’t matter which one – it’s the total number of funds in the db that causes the problem), and bring it up
Go to any Allocated fund on the ledger
Go to the Transactions tab
Click New Transaction
Click the Transfer radio button – and begin to time how long it takes to return the list of available ledgers.
Other information: In other areas of Acquistions that deal with ledgers (such as adding a line item to a PO, for example), the delay is not *nearly* as long. In both areas, the only ledgers that are presented for selection are those belonging to active fiscal periods, regardless of how many ledgers exist in the database.
