How to delete UStat uploaded files in batch

    • Article Type: General
    • Product: Alma

    Desired Outcome Goal:
In UStat, manually uploaded files can only be deleted one at a time. Since there is no simple way to jump to a specific page or to search for a file name, this can cause frustration when trying to delete multiple files (for example, all files from one vendor) at once.

There is a workaround so that users do not need to navigate back to the correct page after each deletion.

    Procedure:
From the Administration > Usage Administration > Uploaded Files section of UStat, sort the uploaded files in the most convenient way in order to navigate to the correct page.

Navigate to the page of the files that you want to delete.

Instead of clicking the "Delete" link, right-click on the link, and select "Open link in New Tab" (the exact wording varies by browser).

Go to the new tab, leaving the first tab open.

In the second tab, click "Confirm Deletion."

The file will be deleted, and you will be navigated back to the Uploaded Files section.

Close the second tab, go back to the first tab (where you are still on the right page). Open the next file in a new tab as well, and continue until all the files are deleted.
