    Configuring License Storage Locations

    To configure license storage locations, you must have the following role:
    • Acquisitions Administrator
    • General System Administrator
    You can define locations where license information is physically stored. These options appear wherever the License Location drop-down appears, such as when Adding a License.
    You configure license storage locations on the License Storage Location Code Table page (Acquisitions > Acquisitions Configuration > Configuration Menu > Licenses > License Storage Locations).

    The following actions can be performed on this page:
    • Add a license storage location (see Adding a License Storage Location). You can import license storage locations from by clicking Import and selecting an Excel file to import.
    • Edit a license storage location (see Editing License Storage Location Details)
    • Delete a license storage location (click Delete)
    • Enable/disable a license storage location (click the check mark to the left of the license storage location)

    Adding a License Storage Location

    You can add a new license storage location. The locations apply to all libraries in the institution.
    To add a new license storage location:
    1. On the License Storage Location Code Table page, in the Create New Code Table Row section, enter a Code and Description for the new license storage location.

    2. From the Default value drop-down list, select Yes to assign the new license storage location as the default value whenever a License location drop-down list appears.
    3. Click Add Row. The new license storage location appears at the bottom of the list of defined license storage locations. By default, each new license storage location is enabled.
    4. Click Save to store the new license storage location.

    Editing License Storage Location Details

    You can edit the details of any license storage location.
    To edit the details of a license storage location:
    1. On the License Storage Location Code Table page, locate the license storage location that you want to edit.
    2. Use the Display or Order up and down arrows to set the order of the license storage locations. The license storage locations appear in the defined order in all License location drop-down lists.
    3. Modify the code and description as required.
    4. Select Default Value if the new license storage location should be the default license storage location whenever a License location drop-down list appears.
    5. Click Save.
