Access to version Aleph 16.02 on the old server was interupted

    • Article Type: General
    • Product: Aleph
    • Product Version: 16.02

    Problem Symptoms:
Aleph 16.02 version on the old server (123.456.789.100) interrupted by both WebOpac and from the GUI.
We checked the license file (util y / 11) and highlighted the following error message:
license_check [err]: No match for IP address 111.222.333.444
    License Error, Exiting
    Press <Enter> to continue.

    Cause:
The server was renamed ("aleph-old" instead of "aleph")
The name "aleph" is now in use with a different IP address

    Resolution:
    * to check the hostname type on the Unix prompt
    hostname
    Result:
    a) if the name was changed, the command should display the new name (e.g. aleph-old)
    b) if the name was changed and the command still displays the old name (e.g. aleph)
    please check the following files:

"How to Change a Hostname on Solaris
To change the hostname on a Solaris system, edit all of these files:

    /etc/hosts
    /etc/nodename
    /etc/hostname.*
    /etc/inet/ipnodes

    * When file editing is complete, reboot the server to test the changes and ensure that they operate correctly."

    * type hostname to check, whether the correct name is displayed.
