    (Version 19) print daemon message "Failed to read reply"

    (In version 19) we were having the "User name does not exist" problem with the print daemon (printd.exe). That was corrected by Ex Libris applying the change to pc_com_c0180, described in KB 16384-6626.

    But now we have a problem of a message "Failed to read reply" appearing on our printing pc. Until we respond by pressing Enter, no printing occurs. Installing a new printd.exe did not fix this.

    When a second pc_server (6992) was started and the printing pc was directed to that port (instead of 6991), it did not have this problem.

    Also, it may be that installing the December 2008 Service Pack will correct this problem.
