360 KB: Preselect.media GmbH - New Provider Associated with Existing Databases - Apr. 2014

    • Product: 360 KB

What is happening to the databases from providers Beltz Verlagsgruppe, Campus Verlag GmbH, and Narr Francke Attempto Verlag?

The provider Preselect.media GmbH is now responsible for the content of databases previously covered by three different providers. Therefore, we will be changing the provider, database-level URL domain, and title-level linking syntax associated with four databases in the 360 KB knowledgebase. The database names will remain the same
These changes will take effect on April 14, 2014.

    Before April 14, 2014:

    Database: Beltz e-Books (code: N6N)
    Provider: Beltz Verlagsgruppe
    URL domain:   http://www.beltz.de/de/verlagsgruppe...rte-suche.html

Database: Beltz Juventa Zeitschriften (code: .VM)
    Provider: Beltz Verlagsgruppe
    URL domain: http://www.juventa.de/index.htm?mi#

    Database: Campus E-Books (code: N6L)
    Provider: Campus Verlag GmbH
    URL domain:  http://www.content-select.com/index....ib&publisher=1

Database: Narr Francke Attempto Verlag E-Books (code: 6CK)
    Provider: Narr Francke Attempto Verlag
    URL domain: http://www.narr-shop.de/index.php/eb...html?limit=all

    After April 14, 2014:

    Database: Beltz e-Books (code: N6N)
    Provider: Preselect.media GmbH
    URL domain:   http://www.content-select.com/index....=bib_view&ean=

Database: Beltz Juventa Zeitschriften (code: .VM)
    Provider: Preselect.media GmbH
    URL domain: http://www.content-select.com/index....=bib_view&ean=

    Database: Campus E-Books (code: N6L)
    Provider: Preselect.media GmbH
    URL domain:  http://www.content-select.com/index....=bib_view&ean=

Database: Narr Francke Attempto Verlag E-Books (code: 6CK)
    Provider: Preselect.media GmbH
    URL domain: http://www.content-select.com/index....=bib_view&ean=

    Action you need to take:
    • Once the above change takes effect, update your Data Management by subscribing to the new database instead of the old database.  Information is available here regarding how to update Data Management, and 360 Resource Manager and 360 Counter considerations prior to removing the old database from your profile.
    • If you are a 360 MARC Updates client and have requested the custom specification that adds the provider name as it appears in the Client Center to MARC records, you can expect to see some change records when you get your MARC records after April 14, 2014.
    • If your library uses a third-party service (such as SFX, EBSCO A-Z, etc.), custom scripts to manage data, or other non-Serials Solutions tools that require the provider name to function, you should note the change in Serials Solutions' provider name in order to retain the proper relationship/mapping between those tools.
