    What is happening to the FIAF International Index to Film Periodicals databases?

    Please see below for information about a recent URL change, as well as the FIAF database migration.

    1. URL change

    The title-level linking syntax in the Knowledgebase for FIAF International Index to Film Periodicals Journals [DBID: AIUKI] has changed.

    This change has already taken effect:

     

    Actions you may need to take:

    • Make sure that either http://search.proquest.com/ or *proquest.com is included in your proxy configuration.
    • If you are a 360 MARC Updates client and have requested the custom specification that adds direct URLs to MARC records, you can expect to see some change records when you get your next MARC records.

    2. Database migration information

    The databases FIAF International Index to Film Periodicals Plus [DBID: PFE] and FIAF International Index to Film Periodicals Plus -International Clients [DBID: PFF] from the provider Chadwyck-Healey have already migrated to the ProQuest platform, and are now hidden from public view.

    Please subscribe to one of the following new databases under provider ProQuest, as applicable to your subscription with ProQuest. For questions on your ProQuest database subscriptions, please contact ProQuest Technical Support.

    FIAF International Index to Film Periodicals Journals [DBID: AIUKI] is a full-text collection of FIAF International Index to Film Periodicals Journals.

    For non-full-text subscriptions, please subscribe to either FIAF International Index to Film Periodicals Database [DBID: AQVBX] or FIAF International Index to Film Periodicals [DBID: BTSID], as applicable to your subscription with ProQuest. (Note: the Knowledgebase database URLs for each of these collections are different, and may only resolve correctly if your institution has a current subscription to the database in question.)

    Action you need to take:

    • Update the holdings in your Intota or Client Center profile by subscribing to the new database instead of the old database.  For information on how to update your profile, and considerations prior to removing the old database from your profile:
      • Intota users click here.
      • Client Center users click here.
    • If you are a 360 MARC Updates client and have requested the custom specification that adds direct URLs or database specific information to MARC records, you can expect to see some change records when you get your MARC records.
